Faculty Hub Conversation: Course Design

Wed, Dec 8, 2021, 10:00 – 11:00 AM EST // 3:00 – 4:00 PM UTC
Tower Room (Rm 325), Faculty Hub, Boatwright Library Map

Join the Faculty Hub for an end-of-semester conversation on course design. In this session, we'll offer a brief introduction to three frameworks/tools that can be useful for course design – backward design (Wiggins & McTighe), integrated design (Fink), and Universal Design for Learning (CAST). Then, we'll open up a conversation about course design more broadly. Join us for this opportunity to get feedback from colleagues as you redesign courses from this fall and/or look ahead to finalize your design plans for spring courses.

*Note: Participants can choose to join this session virtually (via Zoom) or in-person at the Faculty Hub (Tower Room, Boatwright Library). Coffee, tea, and light breakfast will be provided at 10am for in-person participants. Those joining virtually will be sent a Zoom link prior to the session. Please register for the session in advance here to let us know you'll be joining us.
