A Role for Generative AI in Teaching and Scholarship

Since the release of ChatGPT in November of 2022, there has been a proliferation of artificial intelligence tools for generating content: from text to photorealistic images. In this workshop, Andrew Bell, Faculty Hub Technology Consultant, will demonstrate the latest developments in these tools and facilitate a conversation on how they might impact teaching and scholarship at the University of Richmond. Whether you are just curious about how tools like ChatGPT work or are working on developing an AI tutor for your fall course, we hope you’ll be able to join us. We are offering a virtual (Zoom) session August 16 at 2:30 p.m. and a session in the Faculty Hub on August 24 at 4 p.m.
