Web of Inquiry Course (re)Design Day
Join us at the Faculty Hub on May 10 to work together in community as you prepare to (re)design a course for the new Web of Inquiry curriculum.

The opening session will provide you with an opportunity to review or get up to speed on new learning outcomes for specific areas of the new curriculum. The rest of the day, you'll have opportunities to attend various sessions on topics related to course design, or you can choose to simply use the time and space for independent or collaborative work time.

Morning session (optional, unless you would like your participation to count as your required PD for a Web of Inquiry attribute):
  • 10:00-10:30 – Welcome and Introductions
  • 10:30-11:45 – Mini-Course Design Institute for the Web of Inquiry

Afternoon sessions (all optional)

  • 1:00-1:45 – Exploring Alternative Assessment Methods: Intro to Specifications grading, contract grading and ungrading
  • 1:50-2:20 – Designing Transparent Assignments: Intro to TILT Framework
  • 2:30-3:15 – Hate Grading Less through Wily Assignment Design
  • 3:15-3:30 - Wrap-up / Planning for Next Steps

Please note that the morning session can count for the institutional professional development component for one area of the Web of Inquiry. Please indicate which area you’d like to choose as your focus for this session when you register.

Lunch will be provided to all registrants at 12 p.m.
