Gamification can be a valuable way to boost motivation, engagement, and creativity in the classroom. This informal discussion session offers a chance to connect with colleagues and explore how game-based elements—like leaderboards, badges, and challenges—and game-inspired activities can take shape in a variety of teaching contexts. We’ll consider both short-term games, such as one-off activities, and longer-term structures that span a full course. Faculty are invited to share ideas, experiences, and questions, whether they’ve used gamification before or are new to the concept.
