Getting Started on UR’s Supercomputers
Thu, May 8, 2025, 10:00 – 11:00 AM EDT
Faculty Hub - Third Floor of Boatwright Library

The University of Richmond hosts three high-performance computing systems – also known as supercomputers – named Spydur, Spiderweb, and the soon-to-be-available Arachne. In this hands-on session, participants will learn how to access these systems through both command-line tools (including a ‘passwordless’ login option) and web browsers. The session will also cover how the clusters operate and how they can be used to support teaching and research. Faculty will explore tools such as RStudio and Jupyter Notebooks and learn how to share content with students effectively.
