In this lightning session, you’ll get three mini-workshops in one, all of them on the topic of student engagement. Topics will include: the first day of classes, engaging discussions, and interactive lecturing.

What is a lightning session? It’s a bit like speed dating for teaching ideas! We’ll have three tables, each for discussion of a topic. Participants will spend roughly 15 minutes at each table, and then rotate to the next one. By the end, you’ll have all sorts of inspiration, and you’ll be able to share your best ideas with your colleagues.

This lightning session will be offered on Thursday, August 24 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. in the Faculty Hub. If you’d like to join us for lunch after the session (from 11:30-1:00pm), please let us know when you register!
